Residencies

Images and work from my residency experiences.

Art Scape

Toronto Island

Toronto, Canada

2014

While in Toronto, I continued working on the Momorium Series that I had started with my thesis. I particularly focused on Memoria Congeria and Ashes to Ashes projects. The two projects became a daily ritual of collecting and spreading.

I also captured a lot of photos from around the island and turned some of them into monotype drawings and linocut prints.

Burren Residency

Burren College of Art

Ballyvaughan, Ireland

2011

Part of my MFA program at Moore College of Art and Design was a month long residency at the Burren College of Art in Ireland. The rural, isolated landscape challenged us to focus inward on ourselves with the the distractions of an busy, urban environment. The rolling hills, stone fences and bay front location offered endless inspiration. It was here that I recognized the beginning of my Memorium Series and inception of my thesis concept.
